is an Italian poet, essayist, translator & editor of Transference. E.U. & Beyond.
As a writer, I believe in the need to move ones' poetics forward to go beyond aesthetics. This to free the poet's speech from some of the recurrent preoccupations that affect the act of communicating one's feelings and thoughts.
Moreover, in transcending one's worries concerning aestheticism, one doesn't necessarily produce non-aesthetic verbal artifacts. In fact, one might end producing marvels.
The opposite is also true and one might end producing ugliness after years of striving towards the implementation of principles such as the "good" and the "beautiful".
The system of going beyond aesthetics does not solve the more insuperable problem of talent, practices and inspiration. Yet, psychologically it is like fighting one's taboos. |
